This is a collection of my favorite baking tools and cookware. Having the right bake and cookware is essential to setting the scene and creating the look you desire when preparing your dishes before they are styled for a photoshoot.

Composition is about texture, color, and layering. Below I have put together a few items I love to use when building a food scene.  Starting from the background up, a good use tableware adds the right amount visual interest to let your subject (the food) shine.

gadgets

Kitchen gadgets are my JAM! I often use kitchen gadgets in my photography to add visual interest and as a story-aid in my food shoots. More importantly, I actually use these gadgets as food styling tools as well.  I love when a kitchen tool serves multiple purposes. That's a win-win!

crafts

As a photographer I live in the craft section. It comes with the territory. Craft tools are a food photographer's best friend. From little wooden scoops, to small candy boxes, ribbons, faux flowers, and more, craft items are an easy and inexpensive way to build your visual story.
